Mount kilimanjaro

Conquer Africa’s highest peak.

The mountain rises through five climate zones, from rainforest to arctic summit, to 5,895 metres at Uhuru Peak.

No ropes or technical equipment required, but the altitude is serious and preparation matters.

We offer multiple routes at different durations and difficulty levels, and we’ll tell you honestly which one gives you the best chance of reaching the top.

Kilimanjaro is a serious undertaking. The altitude affects everyone differently, and the difference between a successful summit and turning back early usually comes down to how well the climb is paced and how many days are taken for acclimatisation. We plan every route with that in mind.

Your guide knows this mountain in every season. The porters we work with are treated as the professionals they are: fairly paid, properly equipped, and central to how the climb runs. You’ll notice the difference.

The five climate zones on the ascent make Kilimanjaro unlike any other walk you’ve done. Rainforest on the lower slopes gives way to heath and moorland, then the wide open alpine desert, and finally the summit ridge above the clouds. Each zone has its own character. The summit at dawn, with the glacier behind you and the plains of Tanzania far below, is worth every early start.

A certificate of achievement serves as a tangible reminder of your triumph, but the memories curated by Serengeti Legacy Adventures’ Signature style are the true champions of this journey. With Serengeti Legacy Adventures, ascending Mount Kilimanjaro isn’t merely a climb; it’s a journey of excellence, a testament to your spirit, and an experience that reshapes your notion of possibility.
