Who we are

About Serengeti Legacy Adventures

The founder of Serengeti Legacy Adventures grew up in Tanzania’s national parks. Not as a tourist, not as a student of wildlife, but as a child for whom the Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire were simply part of life. He knew the smell of the bush after rain before he knew much else. He learned to read animal behaviour the way other children learn to read books. By the time most safari guides had completed their first training course, he had already spent years in the field.

That upbringing is not a marketing story. It is the reason this company exists and the reason it works the way it does. The knowledge of when to go, where to go, which part of the Tarangire riverbed draws the largest elephant herds in October, where the Ndutu prides are hunting in February, which lodges are genuinely worth the price and which routes feel overcrowded in peak season: none of that comes from a manual. It comes from a lifetime of being here.

Serengeti Legacy Adventures is his answer to a question he kept asking himself: what would a safari company look like if it was built entirely around the traveller and the land, rather than around a catalogue of fixed products? The answer turned out to be simpler than most operators make it look. Every trip is private. Every itinerary starts with a conversation about what you actually want. You deal with the same person from first contact to your return flight, no handoffs, no call centres, no one picking up your file without knowing who you are. Accommodation is chosen honestly, from tented bush camps to private lodge stays, based on what suits you, not on what carries the highest margin.

The company is also built around a belief that travel should leave something behind in the places it passes through. Our founder trains local people as guides and safari professionals, invests in community projects in the areas he operates, and contributes to conservation in the landscapes that make this work possible. When you travel with Serengeti Legacy Adventures, your trip directly supports the communities and ecosystems that make Tanzania worth travelling to in the first place.

This is his home. He is proud of it, protective of it, and genuinely invested in sharing it with people who want to understand it rather than just pass through it. That is what every trip we build is trying to do.

WHY travel with US?

Build around you

Every itinerary starts with a conversation. We ask what you actually want, then build from there. Not a package with optional add-ons. A trip designed for the person taking it.

Every budget, honestly

We work across the full range, from tented bush camps to private lodge stays. We’ll tell you what suits your wishes and your budget, without pushing you toward the most expensive option.

One person, full journey

From first contact to your return flight, you deal with the same person. No handoffs, no call centres, no one picking up your file without knowing who you are.

Your trip supports the places in it

We train local people as guides and safari professionals, and contribute to community projects in the areas we operate. When you travel with us, your trip directly supports the communities and landscapes that make Tanzania worth travelling to.

Raised here, not deployed

Most Tanzania operators learned this country from a training manual. We didn’t. The knowledge of when to go, where to go, which lodges are worth the price, and which routes feel overcrowded in peak season comes from a lifetime of being here. That’s what you get when you travel with us.

The wildlife is real. So is the knowledge.

Knowing that lions are in the Serengeti is one thing. Knowing where the Ndutu prides are hunting in February, or which part of the Tarangire riverbed draws the largest elephant herds in October, is another. That kind of detail only comes from time spent here. It’s what shapes every itinerary we build.
